The nine signals

Think of your child on an ordinary day, not their best day. “Sometimes” is a perfectly good answer — it usually means the signal is emerging.

  2. 2Counts ten objects, touching them one at a time without skipping.
  3. 3Stays with one activity for about ten minutes.
  4. 4Follows a two-step spoken instruction, like “pick it up, then put it in the box”.
