How the sheets work

Every sheet is generated from a seed: the same settings and seed reproduce the identical sheet, a new seed makes a fresh one at the same difficulty. Subtraction never goes negative, division always comes out exact, and the answer key prints on its own page. Operand size is the digit-width slider: one digit draws from 1–9, two from 10–99, and so on up to four, with a second width for the smaller side on multiplication. Two settings sit outside that. On division the first slider sizes the answer and the second the divisor, and the dividend follows from the two. On a subtraction-only sheet the slider sizes the numbers being taken away, and the starting number is their total plus whatever is left — so it runs wider than the slider promises, and five rows at two digits can start in the hundreds. Regrouping is not a separate switch — it follows from those widths. A two-row addition sheet at one digit keeps every answer under twenty with at most one carry; widen either side and carrying and borrowing start appearing on their own.

Is the worksheet generator free, and do I need an account?
Free with no account, no email, and no download limit. The PDF is built in your browser by a library that loads only when you click Download, so your problems and answers never leave your device — we only count anonymous usage of the tool itself. Sheets are yours to print for a class you teach, including a paid one, and every page carries the kani-math.com mark.
What kinds of problems can it make?
Three shapes: a stacked addition and subtraction column of 2 to 12 rows, multiplication, and exact division. Digit width runs 1 to 4 for the first number and 1 to 3 for the second factor or divisor, and each sheet holds 10 to 60 problems laid out in 3 to 6 columns. Eight presets cover addition and subtraction facts, two-digit work, multiplication tables and division.
Does it include an answer key?
Yes, and the key prints on its own page after the problems, so the sheet can be handed out with the key held back. Leave the toggle off and the PDF is problems only. Answers are read from the same numbers printed on the sheet rather than generated a second time, so a key can never disagree with the paper it belongs to.
Can I get a different sheet at the same difficulty?
Press New sheet. It steps the seed by one and redraws every problem while leaving rows, digits, problem count and columns untouched — the paper a re-test needs, where reprinting the original would reward memory over method. Because output is a pure function of the settings plus the seed, returning to a seed reproduces that exact sheet, so a lost printout is recoverable.
Do the problems ever produce negative answers or remainders?
No. A subtraction column is built backwards from its subtrahends, so the running total never dips below zero, and division problems are made by multiplying a quotient by a divisor, so they always come out exact.
